Who we’re for…

We’re for the the parents who want their kids to learn an instrument either because it made such an impact for them growing up, OR because they regret not learning music as a child.

We’re for the students who love music: air guitar and drums, singing to the radio, and figuring out songs on the keyboard.

We’re for adults who are looking to grow as musicians or know that it’s never too late to learn something new!

How we share music…

For little ones (ages 0-3) we encourage them to absorb as much music as possible! They should be exposed to a wide variety of music early and often. If you’re looking for organized group musical experiences, check out our Early Childhood music lessons pages.

For Kid ROCKERS (ages 4-7) at this age they can start to give you feedback as to what they’re hearing and what they like to listen to. Ask them “What’s your favorite part of this song?”, “Can you pick out different instruments?” In terms of lessons, we strongly suggest this age group join our KidzRock program where they’ll have a chance to play guitar, drums, AND KEYBOARD all in the context of a rock band.

For JrRockerz (ages 8-11) the golden age for music! Kids have started to express interest in becoming Slash on Guitar, or Lars Ulrich on Drums, or Stevie Wonder on keys. Since they’re starting to want to pick up a specific instrument, we offer our JrRockerz program where they can be introduced to the instrument in the setting of a band with other instrumentalists and start learning music foundations AND most importantly, how much incorporates playing with others! At this age, some young musicians may be ready for private lessons as well.

For Young Musicians (ages 12-18) students are excited to grow musically for school, friends, and especially themselves! As teenagers, music can play a critical role in their lives – giving them a voice in a noisy and confusing world. Our instructors are not only “music teachers” but mentors as well. But that’s not all! We also offer a Rock Band program where students can meet others and form a band that will perform at Music Compound as well off site community events.

For Adults – it’s never too late to learn an instrument or get better at one! We offer private lessons, adult jams sessions (open to the public), and an adult band program. Come for the lessons, stay for the community.

The Music Compound provides an environment to inspire, collaborate and educate children and adults in pursuit of their love of music.  Members of the Music Compound have access to a wide array of learning opportunities intended to not only build music skills, but also enhance confidence, communication and social interaction abilities. 

Learning opportunities include one-on-one instrument lessons, group instrument lessons, music education, workshops, and performance and recital opportunities. 

Our goal is to transform dreams into reality by providing a contemporary and influential environment for all ages.
