Alicia Schiavone

Alicia has been an instructor at the Music Compound since 2019. While she has always been a vocalist, Alicia began taking music lessons when she was 7, starting with the piano. In the 6th grade, she turned her focus to the trumpet and the clarinet. In high school, Alicia was a member of several different bands including concert, jazz, pep, and praise as well as several choirs. She competed at the regional and state levels for vocals and was awarded numerous first place medals for her accomplishments.

 

As an adult, Alicia continues to learn new instruments and grow her love for music. The instruments she has learned and now instructs include violin, bass guitar, electric & acoustic guitar, ukulele, and drums. She currently plays in her church’s praise band, and the bands ‘Beneath the Ocean’, and ‘Southbound’.

 

Alicia is also a certified Musik Garten instructor. She teaches children as young as 2. She also instructs group classes, general music education classes, and the KidzRock and Junior Rock band programs for children between the ages of 4-11.

Alicia is an active member of Sarasota Music Teachers Association and Music National Teacher Association.
