Bill Shepherd has played musical instruments since he was fourteen years old. Starting with acoustic guitar and then moving to piano at age sixteen.

Bill enjoyed playing in several Christian bands over the years and wrote many of the songs his band played.

In between bands he learned how to play lead guitar, bass guitar and ukulele just for fun.  In the eighties he played bass for a four piece classic rock band.  He has taught friends how to play various instruments over the years and is currently teaching all four instruments specializing in how to play by ear and chord charts. He teaches the Nashville Number System to his students, which is a method used by recording session musicians throughout the world.
