Join Matt and other instructors for our Free Member Workshop. Each workshop is led by one of our instructors. Topics, days, and times vary. See below for the schedule and registration.
Matt is very knowledgeable and looks forward to sharing fun, new, and exciting music-related knowledge with you. Members ONLY. You must be an MC member to participate.
Workshops are offered on Saturday from 11:00 AM to Noon. Members only. Dates vary based on the month.
What to expect:
May – Jamming with Taylor
April – 4/9 – Fingerpicking with Iain. He shall be presenting an introduction to acoustic fingerpicking guitar, using Blues styles as examples.
March – Stage presence with Alicia. Take ownership of the stage and audience.
February with Sabine
Song Interpretation WorkshopThe Song Interpretation workshop is for all singers who want to improve their performance and the ability to better connect with their audience.
Learning the song from a technical point is important but it is equally important to perform a song in a way that touches the audience and makes it an unforgettable experience. Sabine has been an actress and Musical Theater Performer and performed on international stages for over 10 years. Today she is performing her own songs for many different audiences. This is a workshop you don’t want to miss. How to prepare: Prepare one of the songs that you want to work on. Have an accompaniment and a printout of the lyrics with you.

For the teacher’s workshop, I would like to do the same. The Voice teacher brings a song that we can work on together. If you are not a singer but would like to learn how to coach your students in that regard, come and watch as I talk about the process.
