Families throughout the community are invited to join Music Compound members and staff for the music school’s annual Back to School Bash – this year to be held at its new Sarasota location. Highlights to include sample lessons, live musical performances, food truck, bounce house, various family activities, and more. During the event, families can enjoy a tour of the new Music Compound facility and meet nearly 30 team members who will be dedicated to making the day special for all attendees. There will be giveaways for guests as well as a drawing to win a membership (pre-registration is required to participate).

The Back to School Bash is free and open to the public. Takes place on Saturday, August 24, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Music Compound (775 Bell Rd., Sarasota).

“Our programs – including group and private lessons, theory classes, bands and jam sessions – are beneficial regardless of age, skill level, or future study or career plans. They encourage team building, boost confidence, and build performance skills – all of which are valuable for children whether they aspire to be professionals in the field or not,” said Music Compound owner Jenny Townsend. “As parents consider their options for school-year activities, we hope they will consider musical enrichment for their students at Music Compound.”

Music Compound provides an environment to inspire, collaborate and educate children and adults in pursuit of their love of music. A sampling of youth-focused programs available at Music Compound include: homeschool options; Piano Jam, a piano group for ages 8-12; Kidz Rock (ages 4-7) and Junior Rockers (ages 8-11); musical theatre; the band program (live performance-based); Intro to Music; and more. Lessons are available in instruments including piano, guitar, bass, drums, violin, ukulele, voice and more.
